A Fish in a Tank

Sometimes I feel
Like a fish in a tank
Some great big power
Throws food and I thank
Thank that huge hand
For the food
That is thrown to me
And sometimes there are so many
I cannot eat them all you see
And then my liquid home
Starts to stink from rotting food
And I must swim in it
Until the hand puts me into
Into some fresh water
And gives me more food to eat
Then cycle begins again
Until my world is dark and stinks
And do you know
Why I feel
Like a fish in a tank
Because I am a beta fish
In a tank that can get rank

This is what I imagine our beta fish’s
view is of his world
