McVeigh

McVeigh was not as tough
As he pretended to be
Before he met death
Confess yes did he
He received the last rites
Of the Catholic belief
Although in his words
He purported to be
An agnostic yes one who
Seemed they could not believe
If there was or was not
A God in which he believed
So although he had read
Words he was the master of his soul
It seems deep inside
He felt compelled to let God know
That he wanted forgiveness
And if he was sincere it was found
And although public remorse
Was never shown
Forgiveness by God for him was found
In a sense he was lucky
He knew when he was to die
And he could ask forgiveness
But you know you and I
Don’t know when death will call us
Just be sure you are prepared
Because if not, when death claims us
We may not like what waits there
