Apathetic yes are we
We oh yes refuse to see
What is happening
What has wrought
Because God yes is not sought
Yes we people seem to feel
Ignoring God is no big deal
Not until things happen, then
We turn to him and then we send
Send our prayers and say woe is me
But it’s because we refuse to see
Keeping God out of our lives
Just brings heartache that’s what it buys
Apathetic is not the word
No pathetic is what should be heard
Yes pathetic yes are we
When we just sit by and see
See what’s happening all around
And we just do stand our ground
Uninvolved in what we see
Nothing will change as long as we
Just stand by and do nothing to
Change our world, now what to do
Should we work first in our town
To bring God back in the lives around
If we work in our small way
Good will spread and then we’ll say
God can help us if we will
Bring his message and not be still
God is there he’s waiting too
For us to bring him back into
Into our lives at home and work
If we work hard and do not shirk
Shirk our responsibilities
God will help, oh yes you’ll see
