How many ways
Yes every day
Do you give thanks
For all that you have
Or do you go
Moving along
Not stopping at all
To give thanks or to pause
Yes pause when you see
An unfortunate scene
A person that goes
Picks the trash for his clothes
Or eats what he sees
In the trash, food that we
Eat oh just a portion of
And in the trash we do shove
Do you help them at all
Or do you ignore, ignore them all
When you go to sleep at night
And you are warm and you are tight
Do you give thanks at all
Or do you just let sleep fall
Are you really thankful
At all
