The fifties were nifty
Yes that’s what we have heard
And so many of us ‘older folk’
Have so used those words
The music was neat
And also when that you danced
You could hold one close
If you so took a chance
The movies and the people then
Just seemed to be
Much warmer, much nicer
And more families you’d see
Yes the fifties were nifty
But I’m sure that we’ll see
That when twenty or thirty more
Years up ahead we
We’ll be saying that the 90’s
Were much better looking back
And then also they’ll say
Oh I wish for them back
They’re much better than now
And they say holy cow ,oh the nineties
The nineties, the nineties were wow
