The Rainstorm

The lightning filled the sky with bolts
It lit up everything
The thunder roared with sounds so loud
It shook up everything
And then the rain it came and came
So fast no one could see
Not even a couple of inches ahead
The rain stopped everything
I felt like I should build an ark
And gather things two by two
Yes start collecting things to take
Along before we knew
That our world here would wash away
That’s how this made me feel
A fear did grip me cause this rain
No stopping did reveal
But just as quickly as it came
It stopped and went away
Until another day it’s back
To cause us start to pray
Yes pray to God that it will end
And not so wash away
Away this world that we are in
At least, not for today
