Up and down our life has gone
Some days it’s hard to just go on
It seems each day there’s more and more
Of things we never thought would be in store
In store for us on our road of life
Many bumps have been on our road of life
But I’ve tried to look ahead
And think better, than think dread
Dreading going on you see
So is not a part of me
Flowing with what does come up
Is what I’ve tried, but this stuff
It’s caused other’s in my life
To retreat and hide from sight
All they want to do is sleep
Run away and not want to keep
Keep on trying every day
To see better will come our way
So I ask Lord help them view
Better days will come in view
Help them feel that they’ve control
Help them learn to try to roll
Roll with punches as they say
With the problems in our way
