Some people are vibrant and so full of life
When they reach the golden point
That they do call life
Yes they say the Golden Years
You will certainly see
After a certain number of years you finally reach
Some say it’s fifty or sixty or more
But some never do reach it
And this I am sure
It does seem the Golden Years
Should always be
If you can get out of life
Everything and see
See that life’s worth living
And that you do
Try living life as full as you can do
Many have infirmities
Many are frail
But that won’t stop them from
Still setting sail
Sailing on courses
They’ve never explored
Yes keeping active
Before their life’s door
Their door close’s and they stop to breath
They keep on trying so
And they do believe
That they have much to do
They will not give up
And they say it is true
This Golden Age stuff
Because they just go on
Doing their best
And wonder what’s up ahead
Before their final rest
