My soul is restless
\nI turn to you
\nBy Lord and God
\nI plead, please do
\nPlease guide me down my path in life
\nHelp me be kind to my child and wife
\nHelp me be wise to just know when
\nTo have a talk
\nOr just to bend
\nYes bend my ear when words can’t say
\nHelp me dear father
\nHelp me lay
\nYes lay the foundation
\nSo my son does go
\nGo down the path
\nOf right and go
\nYes go to you when he has doubts
\nAnd come to me when he see’s clouds
\nYes clouds of uncertainty what to do
\nPlease help me know just what to do
\nI am reaching a hard point in my life
\nWhen my son will question
\nYes his life
\nHelp me to do the best and say
\nYes say if the answers don’t come my way
\nI want my son to be a man
\nAnd be the best man that he can
\nHelp me to know just what to do
\nI pray Dear Lord, oh yes I do<\/p>\n
