My mind is awash in memories
\nOf yes my Christmas’s past
\nNot only of my childhood
\nBut also the recent past
\nHappy times, yes
\nI had each day
\nBut yes, this time of year
\nDoes bring those memories
\nFlooding back
\nIt is just that time of year
\nMy life is changed
\nAnd so is my son’s
\nWe both have new loves found
\nAnd we both will make
\nNew memories
\nOf this Christmas
\nAnd the sound
\nThe sound of Christmas songs will bring
\nNew memories for our lives
\nSo each year, yes
\nYes, down the road
\nOur old memories
\nWill come to life<\/p>\n
