McVeigh was not as tough
\nAs he pretended to be
\nBefore he met death
\nConfess yes did he
\nHe received the last rites
\nOf the Catholic belief
\nAlthough in his words
\nHe purported to be
\nAn agnostic yes one who
\nSeemed they could not believe
\nIf there was or was not
\nA God in which he believed
\nSo although he had read
\nWords he was the master of his soul
\nIt seems deep inside
\nHe felt compelled to let God know
\nThat he wanted forgiveness
\nAnd if he was sincere it was found
\nAnd although public remorse
\nWas never shown
\nForgiveness by God for him was found
\nIn a sense he was lucky
\nHe knew when he was to die
\nAnd he could ask forgiveness
\nBut you know you and I
\nDon’t know when death will call us
\nJust be sure you are prepared
\nBecause if not, when death claims us
\nWe may not like what waits there<\/p>\n
