A delicate balance
\nThere does seem to be
\nBetween what she sees
\nAnd reality
\nThe doctor did give
\nA pill that sure gave
\nMy wife hallucinations
\nAnd sure made her rave
\nAbout things that she heard
\nAnd things that she saw
\nThat really weren’t there
\nAnd all I did was compare
\nI went through this before
\nWith my grandmother, she
\nHad similar things occur
\nNow it is happening again,you see
\nThe last past few days
\nHave been for all of us you see
\nA trip yes through hell
\nOh but mostly you see
\nIt has been for my wife
\nA journey that she’d rather not take
\nAnd the rest of us home
\nWe just did try to make
\nYes make her as comfortable
\nAs comfortable as could be
\nBut it has not been very easy
\nYes easy to see
\nHow much crying she did
\nAnd asks why she must go through
\nAll of the hallucinations
\nThat she has been through
\nOh my friends, please do take
\nA few minutes to say
\nThat the doctors do find
\nYes do find a way
\nTo help her be better
\nSo that she can become
\nThe good mother and wife
\nThat the last few days has become
\nA person afraid of everything that she sees
\nYes please do say a prayer
\nAnd please say one for me
\nThat I can help her through this
\nAnd that it won’t make me
\nFeel that I can not cope
\nWith caring for she
\nShe constantly begs
\nThat I won’t put her in
\nA mental hospital because
\nShe says she would just not go in
\nBut imagine how hard
\nIt is to see and feel you
\nAre just not able to help
\nNo matter what that you do<\/p>\n
