My dad just never talked to me
\nHe found it hard to do
\nAnd now that I’m a dad I find
\nSome rubbed off on me too
\nI am trying so much harder
\nTo let my young son know
\nHow much I love and care for him
\nAnd verbally will show
\nI think that most men seem to be
\nMuch like me than not like
\nBut if you asked them if that’s the way
\nThey want to be, you’ll find
\nThey’d like to be more verbal
\nBe touchy feely but
\nThe way they were brought up, it’s hard
\nFor them to be like that, but I know it is oh so hard
\nThere are many who are trying to change
\nAnd you can count me one
\nYes one of those who does want to be
\nMore verbal and be fun
\nYes show my feelings, not hold them in
\nOh yes I think you’d find
\nI am trying not to be the strong silent type
\nI know longer want to be that kind<\/p>\n
