Why oh why can’t they see
\nThe gifts, the gifts, the gifts that we
\nYes we the poets at Starlite here
\nWhy don’t our spouse’s
\nHold us dear
\nSo many here are having trouble
\nOr broken up
\nIt makes me double
\nYes double over from all the pain
\nI too have one that’s just the same
\nMy spouse makes fun and laughs at my poems
\nBut I am proud of all my poems
\nWell maybe all are not quite gems
\nBut most are good and some, I can
\nYes can say they yes are quite good
\nOh me oh my I wish I could
\nFind someone who thinks I am good
\nAnd does not laugh and say I should
\nYes should not bother with my poems
\nBut I still write yes write them on
\nOn napkins, envelopes, paper plates
\nAnd some of them I feel are great
\nOh why, oh why, is it so
\nSo hard for our spouse’s to love us so<\/p>\n
