Oh what happened to simple thanks
\nHave manners just gone in the tanks
\nTonight when I delivered food
\nThis sweet thing happened
\nI’ll tell you
\nA little boy not more than two
\nWas at this door and what he threw
\nWere kisses to me
\nOne by one
\nIt was so cute a tear did run
\nYes run right out my eye from me
\nWhen his innocence I did see
\nWhen his mom opened up the door
\nThis little sweet boy thanked me for sure
\nHe said oh thank you mister for
\nThe food you brought to our front door
\nI said you are quite welcome, little man
\nEnjoy your food and then again
\nHe threw me just one more sweet kiss
\nAnd I threw back one, I’ll tell you this
\nThe next house that I traveled to
\nNot even a thanks came from them, but you
\nMust know how warm my heart did feel
\nWhen that little boy said thanks for real<\/p>\n
