The man in the mirror
\nIs the one that you see
\nMost times isn’t truly
\nThe man that is me
\nI do put a face on
\nFor most so to see
\nSo the man in the mirror
\nIs not truly me
\nI do put a mask on
\nA face that’s not me
\nA face that does not show
\nThe pain so in me
\nI let people see the
\nFace they expect
\nAnd hide from their view
\nWhat they’d never expect
\nI’m not strong and confident
\nThe man that they know
\nI have insecurity
\nThat only I know
\nI’m sure I’m not the only one
\nWho shows a good face
\nAnd hides all his fear
\nFrom the whole human race
\nBecause if a weakness
\nHe’d show, change their view
\nAnd make them think he’s not what
\nHe’s supposed to be viewed
\nBut if you have a friend that you
\nTruly do trust
\nYou’ll let them see your true face
\nOh yes so you must
\nCause if you keep hiding fears
\nThen soon they won’t let
\nYou show the good face to all
\nYour fears won’t you let
\nSo find a close friend that you
\nCan be sure of, and share
\nWith them your deep fears you have
\nOr ask God above
\nTo help you work through your fears
\nSo they don’t or take
\nAnd make you a joke to all
\nBecause fears can make
\nA person do horrible things
\nTo themselves or to all
\nIf fears are so kept in thee
\nSo answer this call
\nYes find those who’ll help you through
\nOr get close to God
\nTo help you work through your fears
\nMuch better off are
\nYes you will find inner peace
\nBecause you will find
\nThat many the fears you have
\nDo plague all mankind<\/p>\n
