Lord give me eyes, so that I see
\nThe kind of person, you want me to be
\nOh not the kind, in my mind I think should
\nBut one who lives, the way he should
\nYes, by your standards, not by mine
\nI know your standards, just are fine
\nBut each of us, thinks we know best
\nWe think our creator, should take a rest
\nWe think much better, things we can do
\nBut usually,we change our view
\nBecause we messed it up it seems
\nBecause not the hand above guided we
\nYes help me have more trust in you
\nAnd help me get much better through
\nEach day we set our goals, and ignore
\nThe one who if we did outpour
\nOur troubles, trials, and our view
\nOf life ahead, a much better view
\nWhen troubles, trials, come to thee
\nPut trust in one who did make thee
\nHe truly knows, what’s best to do
\nHe won’t lead us astray, as we would do
\nNo, ask his help, and he’ll do all
\nTo help us meet, what does befall
\nUs on our journey, throughout our life
\nHe’ll help us cope and end our strife
\nSo friend, do take these words I say
\nAnd try to put them into play
\nDon’t throw up hands, say woe is me
\nOur God is great and you will see
\nThat he will help you help take you through
\nWhatever life dished out to you<\/p>\n
