Why are there people
\nWho are sensitive and feel
\nBut only to things that they only feel
\nWhy are they blind, to the hurt that they cause
\nThe feelings they’ve stomped on
\nAnd they don’t even pause
\nI guess that they’re selfish, and only can see
\nWhat really may hurt them
\nBut not what hurts thee
\nAnd if you bring up the feeling that you have
\nThey discount them and feel you should have
\nThe time to sooth their hurts and to improve
\nThey really are selfish, they really are rude
\nWhen their hearts are stomped on
\nOh you hear them exclaim
\nOh why am I picked on, oh why I exclaim
\nMaybe it is payback, that they do receive
\nThey say things come around, to those who are mean
\nIt is hard to wake up those
\nWho are concerned just with selves
\nAnd moan and complain, with what they’ve been dealt
\nWhat’s really so hard, Is that you want to be kind
\nYou still want to help them, but hope that they find
\nThat somehow they’ll wake up to, how they have been
\nAnd hope that you don’t have, to take on the chin
\nAny more harsh words, any more guff
\nYou pray they’ll refrain from, all of that stuff
\nI guess that’s the best thing, that you must try to do
\nIs try to be an example, in all that you do
\nAnd maybe that some day, they’ll awaken and see
\nThat kindness given, will come back to thee
\nBut some times those patterns, are so hard to break
\nAnd you pray that they will so, for both of your sakes
\nSo if you’ve a person, like this in your life
\nAnd many years they have, just caused you strife
\nI guess as I said, once before up above
\nYou must pray that guidance, can come from above
\nIf you keep on praying, maybe he’ll answer with yes
\nBecause he’ll get sick, of all of this mess<\/p>\n
