We all carry baggage every day
\nThat could cause us pain, if we let it lay
\nSometimes old baggage must be chucked
\nWe must pack it up and throw it out
\nOld memories, so bad, it’s true
\nWill never change, I’m telling you
\nIf that were true, then every day
\nI’d go to the track and start to play
\nBecause if past we could change
\nThen I would be a millionaire
\nBecause I could bet on a race that’s to run
\nBecause I could change it’s outcome
\nWe make our lives, so hurtful because
\nWe want to mess with natures laws
\nThe past won’t change, no matter what we do
\nWe try so hard to take that view
\nWe wish, and pine, and hope it will
\nAnd make ourselves so crazy till
\nWe think that the past can change you see
\nIt’s we that must change our view of the
\nYes past is past and we must try
\nTo work on the present and rely
\nThat if we learn from our past then we
\nCan make our future brighter be<\/p>\n
