I heard from a woman
\nWho thirty five years ago
\nShe never thought of me
\nAlthough don’t you know
\nMy heart was won over
\nBy her beauty you see
\nBut I was not looked at
\nAt least at by she
\nI’m sure in her memory
\nThere is nothing of me
\nExcept of one passing
\nIn the halls or maybe
\nNot even that memory
\nIs there so at all
\nBut when I heard from her
\nI know most of all
\nThat though she was pretty
\nIn her mind she saw
\nSome other girls who she
\nDid envy and call
\nYes called them a beauty
\nBut she did not see
\nWhat beauty she held so
\nIn my mind you see
\nBut I know that if I’d
\nHave asked her to go
\nOut with me one evening
\nShe would have certainly said no
\nBecause I was fat and
\nA nerd sure to she
\nBut thirty five years now
\nI still think of she<\/p>\n
