Why should I be thought of as a hero

In his eyes I do seem to be

I feel unworthy of his feeling

I just wonder how I can be

I am the one that’s made the bad guy

I am the one who has to yell

I feel so sad when I must do it

And he is so hurt cause I can tell

He still considers me his hero

And I feel so good that he still does

But I still feel that I am not worthy

But he still loves me, yes he does

I wish that I could find ways better

Of being a father, yes I do

Discipline’s put all on my shoulder’s

That’s why a hero, I can’t view

Lord I am glad that I’m his hero

Please help me see a way to be

A true hero ways I should be

Cause I do love him, hope he sees

Show me the ways to be much better

Help me to show him love from me

I could just cry cause not a hero

I really feel that I should be

Hero’s I know to other people

Are bigger than life so in their eyes

Lord help me to be just such a hero

Help me to live so in his eyes

I pray I learn how to stay his hero

Just like a hero is supposed to be

I pray I’ll always be his hero

The way he so does think of me
