How close have you been
\nTo death’s door
\nHave you been there yourself
\nI’ll tell you this
\nI have been there
\nAnd it twas caused by self
\nYes I attempted suicide
\nBut God gave me a chance
\nA chance to change
\nA chance to live
\nAnd on this world remain
\nSo now I feel he’s given me
\nA mission here on earth
\nTo help some other’s who do feel
\nNo use they have on earth
\nTo them I say
\nThere’s always worse
\nYes worse that what you see
\nAnd prayer’s the answer to your woes
\nYes God will so help thee
\nYes I am proof of how he helps
\nIf not then, I would be
\nSix feet under and surely in hell
\nAnd this you would not see<\/p>\n
