Don’t take away my very soul
\nWith unkind words that take a toll
\nIf we are kind then we can be
\nA grand example to all thee
\nIf you want others to give all
\nThen cutting words won’t help at all
\nJust look for words that don’t offend
\nAnd bring the best out of all men
\nAnd women too because they are
\nThe gentler sex I know by far
\nAnd even children are today
\nNot always kind because they say
\nThe words they say are often those
\nTheir parents uttered and who knows
\nWhy they get upset when they hear
\nThe very words they gave to their little dears
\nPlease don’t repeat bad words you hear
\nAnd try to hold so very dear
\nThe thoughts toward others that you meet
\nBecause if you can say things neat
\nThen good words, kinds words, words upbeat
\nWill fill the world and will not heat
\nThe tempers that can get real hot
\nFrom words that should not come from us<\/p>\n
