Why can’t close ones see your gifts
\nWhy should you so wonder if
\nWonder if you did something
\nWhether recognition it would bring
\nMany people try so hard
\nAnd it never does seem in the cards
\nThat the people who are close
\nWill so support you the most
\nAm I the only one to see
\nHow unimportant I can be
\nTo close ones who I’d like to see
\nThat they feel that what they see
\nWhat they see me do in life
\nMatters and that all my strides
\nStrides to do the best I can
\nSometimes is much better than
\nBetter than what they can do
\nBut response is critique of you
\nNot say heh you did real great
\nAnd no other’s could have made
\nMade a difference made a slash
\nNo it seems they like to dash
\nDash your talents make you feel
\nWhat you do is not a big deal
\nGuess I’ll just go trying so
\nFinding other’s who’ll bestow
\nTrue assessment of what I try
\nTry my best to do and try
\nSo my message so to you
\nIs to bolster all around you
\nHelp them build their confidence
\nNot belittle or look askance
\nNo foster their talents so
\nAnd much better things will go
\nThey will be the best can be
\nAnd feel good you helped them see
\nHelped them see what they could do
\nIn all things that they try to do<\/p>\n
