There have been times I’ve traveled far
\nAnd not by getting in my car
\nOr getting in a train or plane
\nBut far I have been just the same
\nNo I have traveled in my mind
\nTo far off places that are kind
\nYes kind of place you can relax
\nAnd rest a while get off your back
\nYes shed your cares that weigh you down
\nAnd cause your mouth to have a frown
\nYou ask where is this place I’ve been
\nYou can’t get there because it’s in
\nYes in my mind I’ve traveled far
\nI’ve been to places that never are
\nYes never really do exist
\nBut when I’m there I’ll tell you this
\nI feel so calm, I feel so great
\nIf I could really reach this place
\nThis place my mind creates for me
\nWhen I lay back and start to dream
\nIf you take time and try to go
\nYou’ll reach someplace that you can go
\nYes go escape the worries and strife
\nThat are in each and every life
\nSo now if you’ll just close your eyes
\nAnd dreams of places you’ll realize
\nThat you can go away each day
\nIf you just let your mind go play
\nYes better off each day you’d be
\nIf you took time to try to see
\nA calmer place a tranquil pool
\nSomeplace if other’s saw would drool
\nSo kick back lay down close your eyes
\nAnd feel like you just so could fly
\nCould float away just like a cloud
\nAnd know that time will so allow
\nAllow you to escape from woe
\nAnd find a happier place to go<\/p>\n
