Your parents raise you
\nBut I’ll tell thee
\nI never thought tables would turn on me
\nNo never when younger I thought I’d see
\nMe raising a grandparent who nurtured me
\nYes in my midlife I did have to say
\nI became a parent, not the normal way
\nNo I was not married
\nDid not have kids
\nNo my loving Granny became my kid
\nShe was dependent on me to care
\nAnd I found things I was not aware
\nAware of what I would have to do
\nTaking care of someone who had grew
\nGrew into a person who could not care
\nFor anyone and was not aware
\nAware who I was or what she did
\nTo help me be able to raise a kid
\nYes t’was like raising because I cared
\nFor this great person who never dared
\nDared not to give me yes all she had
\nWhen tables turned I did feel so bad
\nThat she did not understand how much
\nShe had so given to me and such
\nSuch a great person she was when had
\nAll of her memories now gone bad
\nBad cause she did not know me when died
\nI was a stranger so in her eye
\nSo treasure moments and let ones know
\nHow you do love them before memory goes<\/p>\n
