My mind is awash in memories
Of yes my Christmas’s past
Not only of my childhood
But also the recent past
Happy times, yes
I had each day
But yes, this time of year
Does bring those memories
Flooding back
It is just that time of year
My life is changed
And so is my son’s
We both have new loves found
And we both will make
New memories
Of this Christmas
And the sound
The sound of Christmas songs will bring
New memories for our lives
So each year, yes
Yes, down the road
Our old memories
Will come to life
