Yes I am a smurf
There certainly is not a dearth
A dearth of people looking at me
Cause when they look
Oh yes they see
A funny old man
With a headband on
To keep his headset from traveling on
Yes what I wear helps me to hear
But when people see me
It is not clear
Just why I am wearing a winter headband
They think the senses have left this man
So when they look
So quizzical
I say I am a smurf
Which makes me crazier still
I am currently getting new hearing aids
and until I do I must wear something called
a pocket talker, which is a little box with a
microphone and a volume control attached
to a headset which falls off easily. Being an
outside kind of box kind of guy I wear a winter
headband which covers my ears so it stays and
I can hear better.
