Green Stamps, Plaid Stamps, Yellow Stamps
How many remember these
You got when you purchased things
You got them everywhere
I know that mention of these stamps
Yes puts an age on me
But I remember licking them
A taking them to see
Yes see what treasures
Could be found, a lamp, a table or you
Could get a ping pong table if you
Had bought $10,000 dollar’s worth
Then you
Yes you could buy most anything
But if you did you found
That after you did lick the stamps
A green tongue you had found
Or yellow or yes it turn plaid
From licking stamps you had
You know what made you mad as heck
If short one book you had
To go out and spend umpteen dollars
So one more book you filled
So you could treck on back and get
That coveted thing that would thrill
Yes I can still remember when
But no more can we do
Yes stick the stamps and get the prize
Now barcode we must do
