Scared To Death

He took a walk
With his friend aged eight
The weather perfect
Really great
Our son eleven
Thought that he
Would visit a friend
Instead you see
He lost his way
And could not find
A street that was familiar
So in his mind
He’d headed for a landmark
That her knew
But the time he was gone
It just grew and grew
He thought big trouble he would have
Even a cell phone
Oh yes he had
A three county search
Was happening then
And finally he answered
His cell phone when
Yes when the police called
Him and they did find
He was ok and at Staple’s Store they did find
He now is grounded
Yes is he
Until he reaches
Thirty Three

I thought my hair was gray before.
I am lucky it did not turn snow white
with this incident. At least he is safe.
I was really scared because my adopted
sister’s natural sister had her twelve year old
son disappear just like this and they have
never found him and that was eight years ago.
