A love rekindled
Is what it seems to be
A love rekindled
A love I had for she
It seems my wife
And I have grown
Apart these past few years
And now a sickness has appeared
That’s given me a view
A view that things she says and does
Are not because she hates
But done because the fears she has
Did make her as she was
I am trying to be more loving
I am trying to understand
I am trying to be a better husband
I am trying to be a better man
I have asked the Lord to guide me
And to try to help her see
That she can put her trust in me
And hope that she loves me
God did bring us together
And helped us have a son
And now I pray to God each day
Much better our lives will run
I don’t have all the answers
But with my Lord along
The road ahead I pray will be
Less bumpy as we go on
So God is this your plan and
Will you help me to see
The things that I can do for her
To help to make her see
That things will be much better
That she’ll be able to see
That you Dear Lord
Will be her guide
As you have been for me
