So many times in my life
I have been the one
To try to find the way
To break down the old hurts
The old gripes
Many years go by and things just fester
Little things that at the time seemed important
In hindsight seem petty and unimportant
BUT-as we have heard many times
THE LITTLE THINGS DO COUNT
A snub, an offhand remark, a look you give someone
These can and do mark people for life
It is these little things that shape the destiny
Of not only families but nations
On this day that we remember a PEACEMAKER
Martin Luther King
Can’t we all find a way to try to
Mend some fences, heal some hurts
Help our little world find PEACE
If we can do it at home
Maybe it will spill over
Into the world
