How come when we get older
The ones we’re closest to
Cannot accept the fact that
There’s things we just can’t do
Yes physical limitations
Prevent what we can be
They just cannot accept that
Our age yes changes thee
Is it cause they are blinded
From how we used to be
Or is it just because they think that
Age cannot change thee
They have their own afflictions
That limit them you see
But when they see us changing
They just refuse to see
