My little boy is growing so
He just turned nine and I don’t know
Where all the time that’s been has flown
Yes my young son has surely grown
Days grow into, weeks, it seems
Then weeks to months and not a dream
The weeks became the years now past
A decade soon will fill the past
It just seems yesterday he was
A babe in arms and in the car
He rode in carseat now he is
A little man and soon a quiz
Yes quiz to my mind, I will say
Where has the time so slipped away
There never seems to be enough time
These thoughts are filling up my mind
Our children grow up quick you see
They’re first on knee then quickily
Are out the door in college then
It’s own family that they begin
So parents heed this message so
The time is here, don’t waste it so
Spend as much time, while they grow up
Then when they’re gone, you won’t say such
Yes such a waste of time you made
You thought that always you could make
But once time flees not to be mean
You can’t get back it, it has fleen
