We all carry baggage every day
That could cause us pain, if we let it lay
Sometimes old baggage must be chucked
We must pack it up and throw it out
Old memories, so bad, it’s true
Will never change, I’m telling you
If that were true, then every day
I’d go to the track and start to play
Because if past we could change
Then I would be a millionaire
Because I could bet on a race that’s to run
Because I could change it’s outcome
We make our lives, so hurtful because
We want to mess with natures laws
The past won’t change, no matter what we do
We try so hard to take that view
We wish, and pine, and hope it will
And make ourselves so crazy till
We think that the past can change you see
It’s we that must change our view of the
Yes past is past and we must try
To work on the present and rely
That if we learn from our past then we
Can make our future brighter be
