Who Sets the Limits

Who sets the limits in your mind
You know that if you took the time
The answer you would probably give
Would be that when you were a kid
Your mother, father, teacher, or friend
Said something to you way back when
That made you pause and made you think
That limits should be put on thee
If you won’t or can’t do something’s
It cause of limits that you bring
Yes limits you put on yourself
You say oh I can’t cause somehow
You limit what you feel can do
Oh to be back so when you knew
That if you tried to do something
That if it failed was no big thing
But each time that someone not kind
Said why’d you do that, in your mind
You said to self oh better not
Because I did not do it right
So I’ll not try it I will hide
Yes hide my feelings think my worth
Is lessened cause defeat was cause
For me not doing something right
I’ll tell you this you should not hide
No just keep trying and you’ll find
That more confidence you will find
Yes find those who encourage you
And do not try to limit you
