Yes I know I’m growing old
Many times this I’ve been told
But I did not hear cause ears
Are just not what they were I fear
Seeing also is not so good
Glasses I must wear and use
Use to see so walls don’t meet
Meet my face when I use feet
Walking in much slower now
Cause arthritis shows me now
Shows me I can not go as fast
And breath I have so will not last
Teeth also are not my own
Yes they too have traveled on
Now dentures do take their place
And wrinkles now fill my face
Wearing out oh yes I am
Yes I’m older, truly am
