Each day it seems just more and more
Our thoughts just seem the same
It seems the older that I get
Our views do seem the same
It may be cause, we both are now
We both are father’s too
And maybe that’s the reason why
We both have the same view
I’m sure that aging has a part
We’re both much older now
And things we viewed at 24
Do seem much different now
So dad I don’t know if you are
Much smarter or if I’m
Just seeing now your point of view
Just better now that I’m
Yes I am in the shoes you’ve walked
The issues are the same
Because we have experience
In dealing with the same
Someday I guess my son who now
Thinks I’m so stupid too
Just as I thought the same of you
When I was his age too
As he becomes much older too
And he has a son too
He’ll have yes have the views we do
This I am telling you
