Time and time and time again
My mind often so does send
Thoughts to me about my son
That his talents seem to run
Run so like mine hope that he
Has a better life than me
But I’m sure that he must go
Go through hard times so he knows
Life is not a bowl of jel
But it’s hard for me to tell
Tell him what mistakes that he
Could uncover on road that he
Road that he will travel down
And until these things are found
If I told him deaf he’d be
Cause he’d think I’m up a tree
But right now he thinks I am
Off my rocker, just cause I’m
Older than him, yes he knows
Knows it all, at least I’m told
Guess I’ll just keep, my mouth shut
Let him find out for himself
