There have been times I’ve traveled far
And not by getting in my car
Or getting in a train or plane
But far I have been just the same
No I have traveled in my mind
To far off places that are kind
Yes kind of place you can relax
And rest a while get off your back
Yes shed your cares that weigh you down
And cause your mouth to have a frown
You ask where is this place I’ve been
You can’t get there because it’s in
Yes in my mind I’ve traveled far
I’ve been to places that never are
Yes never really do exist
But when I’m there I’ll tell you this
I feel so calm, I feel so great
If I could really reach this place
This place my mind creates for me
When I lay back and start to dream
If you take time and try to go
You’ll reach someplace that you can go
Yes go escape the worries and strife
That are in each and every life
So now if you’ll just close your eyes
And dreams of places you’ll realize
That you can go away each day
If you just let your mind go play
Yes better off each day you’d be
If you took time to try to see
A calmer place a tranquil pool
Someplace if other’s saw would drool
So kick back lay down close your eyes
And feel like you just so could fly
Could float away just like a cloud
And know that time will so allow
Allow you to escape from woe
And find a happier place to go
